Eddie Van Halen dead at 65
Eddie Van Halen -- the legendary guitarist and co-founder of Van Halen -- has died after a long battle with cancer ... TMZ has learned.
Sources directly connected to the rock star tell us ... he died at St. John's Hospital in Santa Monica Tuesday. His wife, Janie, was by his side, along with his son, Wolfgang, his ex-wife Valerie Bertinelli, and Alex, Eddie's brother and drummer.

I hear 'ya Nemo. Makes one realize his own mortality. Eddie Van Halen was one helluva guitarist and people loved him. My fav was Eruption/You really got me. He sure could make that axe sing!

ReplyDeletePlaying Van Halen loud and getting wired on crank and whiskey on a friday night, WAY FUN. A bunch of lost weekends helped along by Eddie Van Halen. You got to admit, Van Halen, crank and whiskey go hand in hand...it is kind of a doper's peanut butter and jelly. It worked for me! :)
