Judge lets ex-cop charged in Floyd's death live out of state

MINNEAPOLIS – A Minnesota judge cited safety concerns as he issued new conditions of release for an ex-Minneapolis police officer charged in the death of George Floyd that would allow him to live in a neighboring state while he awaits trial.

  1. Derek Chauvin is out on a one million dollar bail. The other three, Alexander Kueng, Thomas Lane and Tou Thao, are also out on bail. Evidently, Chauvin was getting credible threats, so the judge wisely allowed him to relocate. Me, I don't think he should have been charged in the first place, given Floyd's tox screen results, which were truly unique.

    1. Yes the needing on his neck is the crime not his tox report if they would have got him to the hospital then his overdose would have ended his life there and the hospital would has been sued not the police. They failed to get him help which may have not helped him that is the crime.

    2. Apparently it is not a crime to put so many drugs into your already medically damaged body that death is certain but hey, when others don't respond in whatever way others should dictate, they have committed a crime?

Floyd was on a one way trip to the morgue before the knee contacted the neck. This is mob rule all the way - the mob demands 'justice', the charges are to satiate the mob, even that charges were brought was to satisfy the mob. Everything which has followed so far has been about the mob.

    3. The kneeling hold is a recognized hands-free restraint.

Don't believe me? Go watch old Adam-12 episodes. They use it, as directed by LAPD advisors in 1968.

As to Floyd, he tried death-by-handfull-of-drugs about a year before he was successful.

      Meh.

      Floyd schmoid.

None of the officers should have been fired or arrested or charged. None of them.

    4. @anon, the police summoned an ambulance and were attempting to keep him still while they waited on it. You can find REAL facts and the time line if you bother to educate yourself instead of believing the black liberation movement rebranded.

  2. St. George Floyd is a 2020 Darwin Award candidate finalist.

Hmmm, eat all your stash right before getting arrested. Great idea St. George the Thug felon.

  3. Chauvin went hands-free on the OD'd thug because he was worried that one of the other, numerous assholes standing around and berating them would intercede. Floyd is solely responsible for his own death. No amount of resuscitation would have saved his worthless, criminal life. He was dead before he was even approached by the officers. His body just hadn't gotten the 411 yet.

    Fuck off, Anonymous.

  4. There was NO need for Chauvin to kneel on Floyd's neck for as long as he did. Floyd was face down on the ground with his hands handcuffed behind his back. Whether Floyd had drugs in his system is irrelevant to his cause of death. Had Chauvin not been riding him in retaliation for Floyd's resisting arrest, Floyd would probably be alive and most of the major cities in the country would NOT be subject to complete lawlessness demonstrated by a few wanna be marxists.

As to the toxicology report, does anyone with more than one brain cell to rub together think that coroners and DA's don't lie to protect their fellow members of the court system, i.e. the cops? This cover up is exactly how the Derrick Chauvin's of police forces get away with egregious behavior.

Yah, Floyd was a dirt bag FELON and shouldn't be held up as an example for young black men to emulate. But, let's not forget that Chauvin is no spring lily either with four complaints for excessive force, THAT WE KNOW ABOUT. Cops like Chauvin exist because police brass don't FIRE THESE ASSHOLES that think they're god because they wear a badge.

    Nemo

As a habitual drug user, Floyd probably had a high tolerance to whatever he took.

    1. The Floyd family coroner confirmed the over dose results. You are so uninformed it is pathetic.
Kenny, thanks for leaving this dolt's comment up for people to fisk.
