IVEY, Ga. (AP) — A 12-year-old Georgia girl may have died as an indirect result of a severe lice infestation that may have gone on for years, investigators said.

The headlines should've read 'Lice infestation linked to girl's death; parents should be shot' instead. How in the hell does a kid go for years with a lice infestation?
Clean your fucking house and keep it clean, wash all the clothing in the house at once in hot water, and instead of spending your money on meth, buy some lice treatment. It's not that fucking hard.

  1. And to prevent infestations that your kids bring home from school add a few drops of lavender essential oil to the shampoo and cream rinse you use. Lavender is a natural bug repellent.

  2. There used to be a kid in our town who seemed to constantly have lice. In our climate they are pretty uncommon but this kid always had them. No lice outbreaks in 15 years in town till he moved too town.

Every parent ended up barring their kids from playing with that kid and the school had a health nurse check him every time he showed up at the school.

Eventually i heard the grandmother got him back after social services stepped in again. His mom was a meth head, so why they gave him back to her for a year who knows. At 8 the kid referred to her as his 'tummy mummy' because she gave birth to him but for 7 years he had been raised by grandma.

  3. She didn't bathe at 12 years old? Some of this has to go on the kid. At 12, I bathed daily because I knew I needed it. Geez.....
