The Windy City has topped the list of the rattiest cities in the United States for the sixth year in a row.
Orkin, an Atlanta-based pest control service, ranks U.S. cities based on the number of new rodent treatments from Sept. 1 to Aug. 31 of each year. The result is a list of 50 cities, with most changing spots each time the list is updated. Chicago, however, is still No. 1.

There were reports that rats were actually migrating out of Chicago because of the lack of garbage from the shuttered restaurants during the pandemic closures
ReplyDeleteWas this award for the two-legged or four-legged variety of vermin?
ReplyDeleteYes
Delete4- legged ones, Peaowed. Rats still out-number chimps in the windy city.
Delete"based on the number of new rodent treatments"
ReplyDeleteThere's your problem right there. They aren't counting up rats [1], they're counting the number of calls to a pest controller.
Yuh see, the good folks of Chicago are calling Orkin to get rid of rats. The rest of you deplorables just let your rats be, give them nicknames, and treat them like family basically. Chicagoans are just plain better than you. Of course, New Yorkers are better than Chicagoans. (But Chicagoans are the best of the subhuman cattle that infest the vast wastelands that lie between NYC and Hollywood.)
[1] remember all those billboards and commercials advertising The US Census this summer? Would it be a hate crime to put up "Census" billboards, only with photos of vermin rather than human beings?
Back in my day, we didn't have no rats. How far this city has fallen.
