TIMBERRRRRR!!!!!

NEVADA CITY, Calif. — Trees marked for removal in Nevada City by PG&E are being guarded by protesters who plan to stay up in the trees overnight. They sat on branches throughout the day Monday so the utility couldn't cut the trees down.

Demonstrators, who are part of a large group of Nevada City residents against the tree removals, are committed to guarding the trees. However, the utility said the trees need to come down for safety reasons.
