In a press release issued Friday afternoon, Alameda County District Attorney Nancy E. O’Malley said the preliminary hearing against cold case rape defendant Gregory Paul Vien had been halted earlier this month when he was hospitalized following a suicide attempt where he shot himself several times with a nail gun. O’Malley said Vien succumbed to his injuries on Thursday.

ReplyDeleteJesus, I've used nailguns, I own one. if you hold em just right they can spit out a buttload of nails, I wonder how many stuck in his head? I drove a guy to the hospital with part of the board still stuck to his hand, he didn't think much of nailguns after that. :)
ReplyDeleteI just hope it was a framing nailer. Could you imagine if it was a brad nailer? "A man shot himself 600 times with a brad nailer and died of infection".
