Free at last

KENOSHA — Kyle Rittenhouse, accused of shooting and killing two people during protests in Kenosha, has been released from jail on bond Friday.

A spokesperson with the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department announced that Rittenhouse's attorney paid the $2 million cash bond that was set by a judge earlier this month.

  1. best news I've read in a while. the young man should be hailed as a hero, those who incarcerated him should be nailed as a zero.
perhaps we need to begin to mention that we are taking notes, names - and making lists, as well.

  2. Thank goodness! Such a decent kid. This has been SUCH a travesty. I'm sure he will be acquitted, if they don't just drop the charges altogether. There is enough video evidence to make it plain he was there in good faith and he was acting in self defense. I hope this experience hasn't ruined his spirit.

Yeah, nobody ever gets falsely convicted of murder. It's unpossible.

    2. Look, I think the kid is great, too.... however:

HE WAS A MINOR (under 18) IN POSSESSION OF A RIFLE FIREARM.

      Thats ummm, illegal.
Hunting with gramps in the woods, you'll get a pass. Walking down main street during a riot?
Sorry Son, you broke the law.
Whatever happened after the fact is irrelevant.

    3. Yeah and it's a good thing he remembered to bring his gun because otherwise we would be discussing the "late" Kyle Rittenhouse.
And good on Mike Lindel the "My Pillow" guy, and Ricky Schroder for putting up his bail. They're both good Americans.

    4. You seem to have great confidence in these facts that you apparently just made up.

It is not a violation of Wisconsin law for a 17 year old male to carry a modern sporting rifle in public.

Young Kyle did nothing wrong in that regard, nor any other, as far as I can tell.

  3. No mention of L. Lin Wood in this article, but to my knowledge he is the man responsible for raising Kyle's bail.
Mr. Wood is one busy dude lately and I'm hoping that after the dust settles he will be widely recognized as the true American hero that he is.

    1. Word is Mike Lindel (the My Pillow guy) and Hollywood celeb Ricky Schroder put up a good bit of the bail money.

  4. What I'm ashamed of is it took so long to raise the bail, if everybody had donated single dollar, he would have been out within day's. Like everything on the internet, people talk and only talk.

    1. The judge should have let him out with no bail and then dropped the charges.

Whoops, that only happens if you are a bad guy who burns police cars, smashes store windows, and steals big screen televisions.

  5. I gave $50

    But yeah. Took too long.

  6. That was the whole point. The bail was intended to be punitive and ensure kyle went to jail, despite being innocent.

  7. I forget how much, but I chipped in. What I want to see is Kyle pardoned. Forget putting him through a trial, which he'd probably win and just close the matter now. You can do it, President Trump.

  8. I believe they had the money awhile ago, but the system had to exact its pound of flesh.

  9. I read the my pillow guy gave a large chunk of change as well.
