How to Shoot Better at 25 Yards

Shooting small things far away with a pistol is hard. Today we're going to talk about how to get better. And because ammo is in short supply, I'm gonna show you how to put in some meaningful practice at 25 yards using less than a full box of ammo.

  1. When I took my ccp test I used a little snub nose 5 shot. I remember the guy asking if this what I was using to qualify like I was bullshitting him. Needless to say I got a 98 and only because on my last 5 shots I got cocky and pulled the trigger fast on the first 2 and missed one outside both lines( still a nut shot though😁) point is you can shoot accurate from a distance even with a snubby.

    1. I took my ccw test with same.

Tried to bet with a couple other guys who were talking stuff to each other.

4 of 5 rapid fire on metal silhouette at 25 yards. I let it walk off a fraction...

  2. I remember at Parris Island boot camp my introduction to the. 45 slab of iron. It rattled when I shook it, but I hit the target with respectable groups from the start. It helped that my dad used to let me shoot all of his guns, rifles, pistols, and shotguns.

  3. I can consistently hit a man sized target at 25 yards.
    Good enough for me.

  4. Bill at the You Tube channel called Donze52 trains people to shoot their pistol from the hip and hit a pea at 25 yards and further. He starts them shooting BBs then work up to their EDC. Even his crippled wife can nail a dried pea sitting on a fence post as 25 yards with her .22

  6. Back in the day, all us bomb squad guys were issued 1911A1’s and qualification included targets at fifty meters. I had no problems connecting with man sized silhouettes at fifty with those old pistols. Almost felt like cheating to hit something that big. Pick something small on your target. Shoot clays on the berm of your range. Practice dry firing. Always remember that the only reason to have a pistol is to be carrying something that will help you fight your way back to your rifle. 8. Jerry Miculek is known to have shot targets at 1000 yards with a 9mm revolver. Smith and Wesson offers two JM signature guns.

  9. My .41 mag makes it easy to hit human torso size targets at 100 yards - but then again they are stationary (at least until the metal jumps a foot in the air when hit). Back in 2005 John Linebaugh stopped by the very first Appleseed shoot in Worland, WY and has hitting targets at 900 yards with his EDC pistol.

  10. Im not sure whats more annoying, the massive price gouging of ammo on lucky gunner or the cadence and over annunciation in this hipster douche's speech pattern.
