I wonder what they'd say about a BLM pin?

Amazon-owned grocery store chain Whole Foods Market will not permit poppies to be worn by employees under their newly updated uniform policy.

A Whole Foods employee in Ottawa told CBC that her supervisor said that the poppy would be seen as "supporting a cause."

  1. Face-masks marked "BLM" or "Black Lives Matter" are apparently allowed to be worn by staff at Whole Foods.

    1. That's not supporting a cause, that's an insurance policy.

    1. Not sure who DAV is but the Forget Me Not is the Flower of Remembrance of the Canadian province of Newfoundland in remembrance of our Honoured Dead from the Royal Newfoundland Regiment in the First World War. We were a colony of Britain, not Canadian, at that time.

  3. 'Ya, fuck the Veterans. Who cares? We at Whole (paycheck) Foods be woke!!" I haven't been to a Whole Foods store like never. Look who owns them now.. Boycott those assholes who think a Poppy is political. People are free because of the symbolism of the Poppy. I wear them proudly.

  4. Well, I've already stopped buying things from Amazon and I never shopped at Whole Paycheck, even when they took over one of my local favorites (Johnnies Foodmaster); and it reinforces my distaste and onus towards both.

Maybe this will be the straw that breaks the back of some idiots that still shop there.

    1. It didn't and has already been changed as of this afternoon. Apparently their customer chat line was flooded.

  7. Giving us even more reasons not to shop there. We haven't been there since our one and only visit in 2010. We had never heard of the store{were new to the area} and went in because the wife needed a cake mix. The boy employee she asked was rude in telling her that they did not carry such items.

  8. Keep sticking the knife in! Leftist scum! I’d like to buy a hundred poppies and stick them all over their precious store. Obviously most of their older vets have passed on. I hope some of their descendants keep up their proud traditions

  11. It only took them a few hours to back down after this became public. We Canadians can be apathetic about a lot of things but don't fuck with our poppies. Fuck Jeff Bezos

  12. The way Canada and the USA is going they should be wearing an edelweiss with hammer and sickle pin.

    1. We won't be wearing edelweiss - the hammer/sickle, yes, on grey or brown colours only.

  13. I'd wear a poppy, on a black background. Tell the first supervisor to upbraid me on it that it was a Burn Loot Murder symbol. And, GFY.
