Law enforcement across Middle Tennessee sets plans for possibility of Election Day unrest

As thousands prepare to vote on Election Day across Tennessee, various law enforcement agencies have plans of how to respond in the instance of civil unrest.

Metro Nashville Police released a statement Monday afternoon. It read in part: “While the MNPD expects tomorrow’s election to be free of disruptions, each of the eight precincts has established a team of officers to respond to calls for service at any Nashville polling location.”

Sumner County, Wilson County, Rutherford County, Williamson County Sheriff’s Offices, and Murfreesboro Police also have plans which include extending shifts, adding patrols, and monitoring polls.

  1. The local (Los Angeles) talk radio has been dragging the TV stations through the coals. It seems the TV stations have been reporting that the heightened preparations are solely due to President Trump not leaving the office when he loses. Hah!

The talk radio has not been pulling punches as they name each TV station by name and the reporters by name. What is more amazing is this talk radio isn't what I would call conservative.

    1. I’m originally from Monroe County. I asked my Momma if she was worried about riots in Tellico Plains. Then we both had a chuckle.

  3. Notice that those are all places you don't really want to go anyway? Hendersonville, Mt. Juliet (pronounced 'Hoo-liet', a la espanol), Murfreesboro, Franklin/Brentwood--fuck 'em. I'll sit up here & listen to the reports on the radio.

  4. Ken,
Has there been any reports of "protests" since TN voted for Trump. Here they are still "counting" since some people are too stupid to read the instructions on a absentee ballot.
