The potential fire hazard impacts around 350,000 2nd generation Ring doorbells sold in the United States and roughly 8,700 more sold in Canada, according to a notice posted by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission on Tuesday. The $100 doorbells were sold on Ring's website and on Amazon between June 2020 and October 2020, according to the CPSC.
It boggles my mind how any company could screw up the design of a doorbell so that it catches fire.

ReplyDeleteIf you have used a smart phone to take a lot of images or video, they get warm. Next try it while charging. And they get really hot. Now enclose it in a box & run it 24/7. It's asking for trouble.
