    2. You ever live where that happens? Hot water will thermal heat damage locks, crack windows so you can't see out, warp doors and peel paint of. cold tap water is a little better. A bottle with a water/ethyl alcohol mix sprayed on will melt ice on door locks, door seals and windows.

    3. Starker here,
      Cold water, never hot!
Hot will break glass, & the uneven expansion will break plastic and cause chrome plating to separate from plastic.

    4. And when the alcohol evaporates and leave the extra water and melted ice behind it will refreeze, leaving you where you started.

    5. My solution was hammer and screwdriver at the door seams.

And from above - if dogs don't like you, there's a good chance you're an asshole.

    6. As a New Englander I tell you this most earnestly; "Do Not Get In That Car and try to go anywhere!"
If the ice is coating the car like that its coating the roads.

  8. Number 4. I have done that. I was looking out a 3rd floor window and saw a rotund woman about to sit on the front fender of my car. My remote start/car alarm has a siren insted of using the horn. When the siren went off she moved away.

  14. If you put a 1/8 hole in the cap and turn the bottle over it will launch itself. A splash of Ethanol rinsed around the inside surface works best, up to 50 yds with 2 liter bottle and some trial and error...lots of fun providing you don't set fire to the barley field next door....
