  1. That is why the actual drawbar on the tractor is below the centre line of the rear axle. It takes a special type of moron to attach a chain or rope to the top link.

    1. Chain is too low on the tree. If it was higher, leverage would work for him instead of against him.
      Overall, the picture is odd. Maybe it was a midnight attack?
      Someone who knew what they were doing would have dug around the base some to loosen it up first.

  5. I had a very good friend that tried pulling stumps like that- his tractor went all the way over and the steering wheel crushed his rib cage and killed him. RIP Peter
