Ain't my job

Yesterday, California Gov. Gavin Newsom announced a new stay-at-home order that will be triggered whenever a region in the state has only 15% of ICU beds still available. In addition to ordering people to stay home, the plan also shutters some businesses and limits others to 20% capacity. Restaurants are also limited to carry-out only. But some sheriffs throughout the state say they won’t be involved in enforcing Newsom’s rules. Sheriff Alex Villanueva of Los Angeles said that’s the health department’s job, not his:

Now, you want to see a good video on the subject? Check this one out where the Riverside County Sheriff, Chad Bianco, lays it on the line and pulls no punches.

  1. The Sheriff of Orange County CA had the best statement in reaction to Comrade Gavin's latest unconstitutional "order" -

Already there are multiple sheriffs in LA County, Orange County, Riverside County, and several others who have told Gavin "French Laundry" Newsome to pound sand.

  2. That's all fine and well but how about the local leo's. The UN-elected type. That, as WE have all been seeing, will gladly fill the void left by the local sheriffs.

  5. I can imagine there are some loyal democrats right now who are planning to crash into a concrete wall, hoping to get the ICU count to go up.

I am imagining right now that ALL loyal democrats are planning the same.

    1. How, pray tell, would you notice if a "local democrat" sustained brain damage?? Would there be any obvious signs? Inquiring minds want to know.

  6. 15% or 20% of the ICU beds empty... anyone have any idea what percent are usually empty.

    1. In my area of the country, 15-25% is normal.
Some hospitals send their ICU nurses home if they’re not FULL because they can send the ICU nurses home and have the patients held in PACU (“recovery room” post surgery) or the ED.
It keeps the ICU budget numbers happy and who gives a damn about everyone else’s budget.

    3. Our local hospital has 7 ICU beds. I bet the availability is usually low.

  7. Great to see the Sheriff's telling Grewsome to blow it out his ass. Most people I know are sick of this bullshit pandemic and the Demotard tyrants illegal restrictions.
