How fucked up was Axle in Japan? I saw them, with Metallica after Faith No More opened, and they. were. terrible. There was an hour wait between Metallica and GNR during which the promoters tried in vain to get Axle to stop drinking and come perform. That was actually the best part of the show because the spotlight and camera crews started iluminating hot teenage girls, and being New Orleans, it immediately turned into an underage T&A show. The brunette on stage-right on the first mezzanine row was fucking spectacular. I walked out after 15 minutes of GNR it was so bad.
To each his own. Sweet Child O' Mine is a favorite of mine, for the words, the way he sings it, and for the way Slash uses that guitar to carry you on a journey through the song. When it comes up on the radio, I will turn the radio up. Every. Single. Time.

ReplyDeleteI didn't think you were a fan of this shitty band, you surprise me at times. We do have one thing in common we both hate the rolling stones.
ReplyDeleteGNR sucks, Axel Rose is the biggest asshole and worst singer in rock history and Sweet Child O Mine is the worst fucking song ever recorded.

Tim in AK
Yeah, there's no accounting for taste.
DeleteAs soon as I hear the first note of that song I move as fast as I can to turn it off. Every. Single. Time.
