Sen. Inhofe Says It’s Still Inaccurate To Officially Name Biden President-Elect

WASHINGTON D.C. - More Republicans are now acknowledging Joe Biden as the President-elect following confirmation by the electoral college Monday, but Oklahoma senator Jim Inhofe says not so fast.

From our exclusive Washington Bureau, Alex Cameron spoke to the senator about the confirmation and Congress passing the National Defense Authorization Act.

  1. Has everyone forgotten how the president is elected? I learned it in 4th grade, as did everyone else my age.
The Electoral College doesn't confirm the presidential election. The Electoral College IS the election.
The vote on the first Tuesday in November is when states choose their electors (delegates to the Electoral College). There is no Constitutional requirement that it be done by popular vote. No one votes for president on that day. In fact, the popular vote is irrelevant to the presidential election (there is no such thing as a "national popular vote"). States may choose their elector s in any mannner they choose, including by vote of the legislature as Senators were elected before the 17th Amendment.
By statute the Electoral College votes on Dec 14 and the votes are counted on Jan 6. Until the EC votes are counted no one has been elected.

    1. That hasn't been taught in schools since the mid-70s after Carter took over.

The rot goes back that far.

    2. Interesting you mention Carter and the rot. On my afternoon walk I was thinking about the 2 attempts on Reagan's life while in office, and how things seemed to really start going downhill a few years earlier when Jimmy Peanut confessed to Playboy magazine in an interview how he had "lusted in his heart" for other women. Not reported was Roselyn's reaction to that heartwarming admission by her husband.

    3. There's a lot of behind-the-scenes shit that happened in Carter's 4 years of stupidity.

Stuff we're still dealing with, what, 40+ years later?

The damage done to the education process in America is just one of them.

  2. Texas making noise about seceding? If Ted Cruz doesn't object on Jan 6, that'll be the name of that tune.

  3. There better be several key senators rattling their saber's hard when they covein on January 6. If not that's all the proof I need to know that the pubes are no better than the demacoms. It's going to be the last election any of us participate in until after 1776.2 is over

    1. If there are no Republican objections on the 6th of January, I'm done with them.

    2. Won't matter if you're done with them or not. If we don't win on Jan 6th, then what used to be the United States, for better or for worse, is dead.

Welcome to the Hunger Games. Seriously, the premise behind the books and movies is a very rich, powerful, concentrated group of leftist assholes takes over Capital and dogs the living shit out of all the districts that actually do the work. Workers for Capital? Drag them out of the outer districts. And never ever let the workers ever get a say-so in what Capital does, as the new aristocracy will rule through generations...

  4. He is my senator and votes the way I think but he is still crooked. Mullin has done a pretty good job. Family has a heat and air business that he runs. Lankford is a snake he talks our talk but does not always walk our walk. Hern not listed was a newly elected in 2018. He will be a swamp rat there for the bennies and wealth creation.
