Texas high school player charged with assault after attack on referee

A Texas high school football player has been charged with assault one day after attacking a referee during a game.

Edinburg High School senior Emmanuel Duron was booked into jail Friday morning and charged with "assault causing bodily injury," according to Hidalgo County jail records. Duron, 18, posted a $10,000 bond on Friday evening and was expected to be released.

  1. I believe this young man is nothing but a bully. Destined to be in trouble no for the rest of his life. He should get no less than a year. And I bet he really impressed his teammates with that assault move.

    1. Yeah, I'm thinkin he gone avoid his former teammates, now that his idiocy got the team booted from the playoffs. He can probably kiss his future felonball career adios, too, unless he plays in the Mexican leagues. I don't think even a local jr. college will accept him now.

  2. Gotta get that felony wrap in early so he can graduate to the National Felon League of Thug Football.

  3. Should've kicked that kid off the team and out of school - and let the courts handle him - and let the team play on.

    1. Kick him out of school, prosecute his ass and fire the coach. Shit like that doesn't happen in a vacuum.

  4. Give the child a break. He thought he heard the ref call him a derogatory racial term./s

    1. New speech and writing guidelines:

      1. Instead of "bigger" say "larger".
      2. Instead of "Digger" say "Australian military personnel".
      3. Instead of "rigger" say "parachute-packing expert" or "sailing-ship line and shroud technician"
      4. Instead of "chigger" say "Trombiculidae mite".
      5. Instead of "Tigger" say "The bouncy Tiger-American character by A.A. Milne" ("Win--e the P--h" is forbidden - it makes President Xi mad, which makes Joe Biden sad)
      6. "Trigger warning" is still allowed. Because there are hierarchies of social justice.

  6. While not endorsing this particular incident, having played years of sports, there are definitely some refs who deserved a good punch.

    1. You obviously were not taught proper sportsmanship, there is never a reason for a personal attack on another player and never on an official and once you turn that act into a physical ack you should be banned for life from ever participating in organized activities. You might want to grow the hell up too it's a game for God's sake not the end of the world and absolutely no reason to assault someone!

  7. You can't go all racial here. The attacker is Emmanuel Duron, the ref is Fred Garcia. And, it happened in Texas, where on a Friday night it doesn't matter if you are a black player from Jefferson, a white player from University Park or Mr. Duron from Edinburg. Duron should be kicked off the team and banned from any other school activities other than attending classes.

    1. You're thinking like a normal person here, SgtBob. Stop it, because that'll get you nowhere. The mindset of the people in power is: It's ALWAYS racial, or "religious minority" or "sexual orientation".

Emmanuel Duron is clearly an oppressed Black Hispanic, or Aztec-Hispanic, or something oppressed. If he's lucky he might even be part Sephardic. Fred Garcia is a privileged white Hispanic, just like Zimmerman. Sure it *looks* like Duron blindsided Garcia, but we can be sure that Duron is the real victim here. Doubtless his ancestors suffered grievously. It is mathematically provable that they were enslaved, or genocided, probably both, by Garcia's ancestors. Therefore Garcia, and the rest of us have to take whatever Duron dishes out. It's restitution for the crimes of our ancestors. After all, my ancestors living in Changzhou, China obviously owned a lot of Black slaves in the antebellum South. And don't even get me started on how many people they put into ovens.
