The Dalton Gang Shoots Itself

The Dalton School is an elite school on the Upper East Side of Manhattan that has long prided itself on its “progressive” values. Progress comes at a price: tuition for its K-12 program is over $54,000 a year. Naturally Dalton has been at the forefront of declaring its progressive bona fides over race and “antiracism,” and declaring its own need for more repentance, but now the Bolsheviks within are storming the Winter Palace.

A hundred Dalton teachers are revolting over the school’s plan to reopen, and have issued a set of demands to the school. Some students are joining. What do they want? Gosh, what don’t they want? Excerpts:

  1. Like an artist who grasps that his best days are behind him and retires at the top of his game... Dalton should just fire everyone and close and, go out as an esteemed institution as opposed to something that has been eaten to the bone by moonbattery.

That's a very elegant way of puttying that sorta new colloquialism "get woke, go broke".

  3. Good.

Dalton is where Jeffrey Epstein once taught math. Dalton's former headmaster was Donald Barr, father of AG William Barr.

Many famous people, and the children of the rich, powerful, and some might say dubious (but not me) attended Dalton. Emma Sulkowitz (later to become "Mattress Girl" at Columbia) was at Dalton. Prudence Murdoch, Rupert's eldest child, was at Dalton. Other alums include Cooper Anderson, Samuel Delany, Matthew Yglesias who are but a few of the media and writer types. And a whole slew of actors and actresses.

Dalton seems to be about as Deep State and un-elected "elite" power structure as it gets.

As for current events, one might hope this means the vipers are fanging each other, but it could just as well be dezinformatsiya.

  4. If I'm not mistaken, Dalton is the school from which a lot of rich liberals are withdrawing their children, precisely because of such lunacy. They're fine preaching that bullshit, but have it around their children? Oh, heavens no!
