Man,all the way from Down Under! That is/was a 1948, 215 series Holden ute. Locally referred to as the "FX" model;the very first GM Holden built! Great to see it on your site.Cheers,Rob.

Looks like all of their money went into the engine, instead of body work and a paint job.
...thinkin', maybe you're not entirely clear on the whole "rat rod" concept.
Just a guess.. is that forty-seven Holly© two-barrels?Seems about right.
All the paint was burned off when it travels just below the speed of light. Air friction will do that.Heltau
