Your Feel-Good Story of the Day
As you’ve probably gathered from the title, things have yet to calm down entirely in the streets of the Big Apple. There was another demonstration this week by BLM activists, this time protesting the detention of illegal aliens. The usual calls for the abolishment of ICE (and/or the police) were being heard as the marchers flooded the streets, blocking traffic for many city blocks. All without a permit, of course, but apparently we don’t bother with such trivial matters these days.

ReplyDeleteAs an EMT, one of my first calls was to ped/veh incident. I thought this could be bad... it was nothing. Guy barely scrubbed as he was going to cross the street.
ReplyDeleteCop asked the man did you step off the curb here? (He was sitting, I was standing and could see cops foot just outside the crosswalk markings) - man said yes.
Cop said I have to cite you for jaywalking.
At first I thought what a dik, but realized it was the right thing to do.
My point: protesting or not - they are breaking the law. Run the stupid fkers over if they impede your way, especially if they surround your vehicle.
