Your Tuesday Morning Florida Report

He had just stepped from the shower and was settling in for the night when he caught a glimpse of a figure outside his window.

Seventy-year-old Bill Norkunas, a childhood polio survivor, headed over to the light and flicked it on hoping to scare away whoever was there. Instead, the light was a beacon drawing a young man to his front door, a door made of glass.

  2. Any person has the right to defend his property and person, especially a man with the physical impairments the homeowner had. There is no way in Hell that a DA (not that we have one that would even try) could find 12 people in my county who would convict Mr. Norkunas for lighting up the zombie who crashed his door.

  7. Cowardice seems to be the rule in the Broward county sheriff's department. Remember the school shooting where the Coward Of Broward emerged. That must not have been an exception.

  12. According to one spokes-model for LawEnforcementOfficials, they waited down the street for a quarter-hour "...because the situation was fluid and rapidly-evolving...".

    End quote.
