A ‘healthy’ doctor died two weeks after getting a COVID-19 vaccine; CDC is investigating why

Two weeks after getting a first dose of a Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, a 56-year-old doctor in South Florida died this week, possibly the nation’s first death linked to the vaccine.

  1. There's a reason the vaccine manufacturers were granted immunity from prosecution for any adverse effects suffered by the vaccine recipients.

    1. Yep and that poor mans family has no recourse against anyone for their loss. What utter BS.

  2. "The spokesman [from Pfizer] said the company is investigating but does not believe “there is any direct connection to the vaccine” at this time."

This is probably a lie. While I cannot speak as to what Pfizer actually believes, I believe that they should believe that their vaccine was the probable cause of the doctor's demise, subject to further testing. Also the article skates the issue of what caused the doctor's death. Everybody connected to the case knows with a moderate, but not absolute, degree of certainty at this juncture that the COVID vaccine caused the doctor's death. When all the lab results are in, on what remains on the differential diagnosis (ordering the possible causes from most probable to least probable and then systematically eliminating or confirming them) a firm cause of the administration of the COVID vaccine will most probably be the cause.

The doctor died from immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) either caused by the vaccine triggering his immune system to attack his platelets so that his blood would no longer clot or idiopathic ITP (i.e. from an unknown cause). The temporal relationship of when he received the vaccine (coupled with the fact that the vaccine monkeys with the immune system to produce antibodies that attack the spike proteins on the COVID virus) and when he developed ITP strongly suggests that there is a cause and effect relationship.

The vaccine works by using messenger RNA to code our cells to manufacture the spike protein of the virus (but not the rest of the virus). The immune system recognizes this as a foreign body and then produces antibodies against it, i.e. an immune response.

The doctor's blood platelet level fell to zero. A normal platelet count is between 150,000 and 400,000 per microliter of blood. Even when transfused with platelets, his platelet count soon fell back to zero as his immune system attacked them.

The first sign that there was something wrong is when the doctor developed petechiae (a collection of small, red or purplish dots that resembles a rash) as can be seen on the picture at this link:

What is fairly certain is that serious COVID vaccination reactions are few and far between and no one can really predict if it will happen to a particular person, although severe allergies seem to make it more likely. But, if you happen to be one of the unlucky few that comes down with a bad reaction the low probability of a bad reaction is of no consolation.

There have been cases where people have died of heart attacks after the administration of the vaccine, but those are most likely coincidence, rather than cause and effect.

All in all, getting the vaccine, particularly if you are in the population susceptible to having a COVID infection put you in the hospital (overweight, >65 years old, diabetic, heart conditions, have autoimmune disorders, etc.), is preferable to take the vaccine than not.

    1. My blood clotting disorder is shared by 5-10% of Caucasian Americans and like me, many do not know they have a problem until a painful clot forms, often later in life. The clot can stay in the area it is formed or it can break loose and flow through the circulatory system until it gloms onto something else, often the lung.
There is no way in hell I'm fucking around with a vaccine from hell. No disclosure of what is in it nor what the side affects are. I'll take my chances and feel damn good about things since my immune system is in good shape. Fuck medical "science" on this one and fuck the bastards who think otherwise.

  3. This was the clinical issue at the link. The last resort surgery is removal of the spleen.. Caused by the vaccine? Probably! Will I take the vaccine?
Not just no, but Hell No.

  4. I am donating my place in the vaccination line to someone who needs worse than I do, because I want to help my neighbor who may really need it bad. Any takers? I am 61 if that helps. This time next year I will reconsider my chances of dying from corona.

    1. Different Greg here. I worked a career in medical laboratory and have a pretty bad attitude to all the medical disinformaton flying about. There is no way in hell I'll consent to these vaccines for Chinese lung rot. I want to see a stellar two year record of efficacy and safety before I'll even consider it.
The Kung flu is a coronavirus. So is the common cold. So where is the vaccine for the common cold? In less than a year?
Whether this otherwise healthy doctor died of ITP or DIC (disseminated intravascular coagulation), another disorder of platelet function has not been clarified. Either one could lead to the stroke that killed him.

    2. C'mon Greg, we all know that Dr. Tony is kinda backed up on the vaccine thing since he's still working on the AIDS vaccine and is only 40 years late on that one.

  5. 86 year old Dad got the shot. Had a mild heart attack that night. Sooo... When they go to check him out from the hospital back to his assisted living, should he pass or fail a covid test?
    Inquiring minds...
Poor guy has been wanting to die for 3 years now. Can't catch a break.

  6. I am a healthy 74 year old. The covid is man-made, meaning the originators can change the virus anyway they want to. They can made it more deadly or they can make it easier to be infected by. They can do all kinds of tricks with this killer. So why are you thinking about getting any kind of vaccine from these killers? Keep you immune system at peak levels, stay out of crowds and if you catch it, do not seek healthcare, they will insure you die.
Now, today, go on the web and learn all the different ways you can protect yourself with herbs and tonics and if need be hunt down some Lupus patient and buy some HCQ from them.

  7. Show of hands:
    * how many remember the Boeing 737 crash in 2018?

    The entire series was grounded.
After a thorough six-month investigation, the CDC approved the aircraft to fly again.
Then a second Boeing 737 crashed.
The entire series was grounded again.
After a thorough nine-month investigation, the CDC approved the aircraft to fly again.

    Oops.
It wasn't the trained perfessionals at the CDC.
It was those other trained perfessionals at the FAA.
They are easy to get mixed up.

And there is something to be said for Qualified Immunity for incompetent bureaucrats.
