And people wonder why I avoid Nashville like the plague...

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The number of criminal homicides in the city of Nashville last year was the highest since 2017, according to data released Monday by the Metro Nashville Police Department.

Metro police said a total of 109 criminal homicides occurred in Nashville between Jan. 1, 2020 and Dec. 31, 2020. That number was up from 84 during that same time period in 2019 and 88 in 2018.

I can't open a Nashville news site without reading about a murder and/or several shooting that took place the day before. It's an every day thing there.
When I lived in California, I thought Oakland was bad but that city doesn't hold a candle to Nashville.

  1. If you think Nashville is bad take a look at Memphis.

    1. Thanks to my disability and retirement, I don't have to look at Memphis up-close-and-personal anymore.

And I submit the bypass around Nashville was completed just in time.

  7. I am quite sure that the murders in Nashville are all taking place in the Swedish Quarter, Germantown, and Little Lithuania. Amirite?
