Back off, Tonto - we stole this land fair and square from you

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A park ranger used a stun gun on a Native American man visiting the Petroglyph National Monument while he was walking his dog off a trail, video shows.

  1. Watch the whole video.
He deserved a lot more than he got.
“Indians “ wanted that land to be restricted. And they got it.
STFU and enjoy what you created!

    1. does not matter how he was acting - in a free land he should be able to move about without some .gov a-hole hassling him. James Boyd was murdered in this same manor, hanging at a park in albuquerque. Look up the word freedom - I bet ranger bob has not missed a pay check since this whole escapade began.

    2. Does not matter? Do you know whether he had an outstanding warrant?

The ranger is doing his job - trying to protect the place from people that are trashing it - Tatonka Cries Like a Girl could've respected that but instead he's going to play for the victim gambit like that embarrassment to all Americans did on the Lincoln Memorial steps with the Kentucky high school kids.

  2. I've seen the bodycam video of the exchange with the park ranger.
Tonto was acting like a dick and asked for it.

  3. It was Ancestral land. He should be able to go where he wants on it. If he acts like a dick towards a ranger the ranger needs to suck it up. The ranger should have backed off before it escalated.

    1. And yet if I did that for ANY lands that belonged to my own ancestors, without actually buying it first, I'd face similar consequences for trespass.
Address the issue of how "public" land is used is one thing, but you can fuck right off with "ancestral rights."
Besides, depending on which tribe dude is from, it's as likely as not that he's full of shit. Hopi or Zuni, maybe, but if he's Navajo or Apache, he's worshiping someone else's stone graffiti, not his own ancestors'.

    2. His dog probably took a crap on ancestral land. I give the guy credit for having the dog on a leash - I bet he'd be bitching to the rangers if he and his dog or girlfriend had been threatened or attacked by someone else's dogs or if they had to constantly step around the mess left by people that don't clean up after their dogs.

The ranger is there to protect everyone and the park. Why make his job harder?

  4. Ranger asked Tonto to get back on the trail and he did. That is where it should have ended. No reason at all to ask for an ID or to write a citation. Acting like a "dick" to a government employee is the natural right of every American. It was the ranger's job to back off and go back to counting field mice or whatever "productive" activity he does when he isn't harassing citizens. They work for us, we are the ones in the relationship that should be respected, not the government employee.

    1. I watch Antifa/BLM act like dicks toward law enforcement and we know and they know they get away with it because nobody in city government has the cops' backs.

  5. We always hear the claim "We stole the land from the Indians." Why do we never hear the question "Who did the Indians steal the land from?"

    1. My ex was a Comanche Indian and anytime she started that bullshit about the white man stealing their land, I'd just ask her if she felt the same way about the Indians whose land was 'stolen' by the Comanche, then I'd point out that people have been beating each other's asses and taking territory since time began.
Then I'd have 3-4 glorious days of silence.

To be fair, we're lousy at lobbying efforts.
