Biden pick for assistant health secretary would be 1st openly transgender official confirmed by Senate
President-elect Joe Biden has tapped Pennsylvania Health Secretary Rachel Levine to be his assistant secretary of health, leaving her poised to become the first openly transgender federal official to be confirmed by the U.S. Senate.

Levine apparently has an MD from Tulane School of Medicine, and did residency in Pediatrics at Mt Sinai in New York. So it's correct to describe this person as a pediatrician.

DeleteAs a resident of Pa, I can say, without a doubt, Rachel Levine is one of the ugliest human's I've ever seen! Every time I see it/him/her, my ability to pitch a tent ends for days.
