The CEO of GAB managed to archive all of Trump's Twitter account and has moved it over to GAB. He's running on his own servers to, so they can't just shut him down. Seems he's been a step ahead of the Commies on a few things!
GAB can still be shut down, and it has happened to others before. Servers are nothing if they aren't connected to the internet. The internet traffic is controlled by AT&T, Verizon, and a handful of other telecoms and cable companies. All that has to happen is for one of them to threaten to disconnect GAB's internet provider from the rest of the internet if they don't drop GAB. It has happened before to those who provided internet access to sites that hosted pirated movies and software.
I followed a link from CFP to a story at ABC News. I encourage everybody to do the same, and pay particular attention to the comments section at the end of their articles.

And the loss to us for not being accepted by the cool kids is what exactly. I remember a time when there was NONE of these platforms. A time before target marketing, GPS tracking, active phone listening, etc. These phones are just a tool for them, not us. You want to hurt them? Have 100 million people lay their phones down.
Conservatives are generally independent, happy individuals who just want to be left alone to enjoy life. To the Left that's like showing a cross to a vampire. Like a little kid seeing another kid playing with a toy it wants but doesn't have liberals are driven by an incessant desire to control and destroy what they want but their insecurity won't allow them to have. Ignoring them or trying to "make peace" only allows them to increase their savage attempts to crush their opponents. In their collective minds: "War is Peace".
The fact is the Left is rooted in Collectivism. The Right is rooted in Individualism, so, the left loathes natural rights. Group think is a MUST to the Left. The "people" are to be used, controlled, disarmed, and then dispensed with. The values of Leftism, Marxism, Fascism, etc. always have been, and always will be the polar opposite of our Founders vision.
As it stands, we’re deep into Hardcore Class War. The Top of the Scam Gang are in full control. The remains of “Democracy” have gelled into Mediocracy. Ahead, there’s nothing but ruthless purge, protracted crackdown, censorship, blanket surveillance, smashing of civil liberties, a single narrative, overarching cancel (in)culture.
And the best revenge when confronted with verbiage meant to be-little you and discount your entire being and beliefs, is to simply laugh out loud right in their faces........That really pisses em right off. They do't know how to deal their failure to intimidate another.

Freedom is a weird idea. It includes the freedom to censor others or to make life hell for others if you're the one in power. The Conservative desire to just be left TF alone is not going to last. I bet all right wing leaning sites will be shut down by 2022.

Freedom doesn't include the right to affect other people. The right to be left TF alone isn't a "desire", it'e the precise definition of freedom.
