We all want a window like that don't we: Honey, that window thing upstairs is leaking again. Honey, it's starting to rain and that window thing is stuck and I can't get it closed. Honey, I forgot to close that window thing last night and I think a coon climbed in, can you check for me? Daryl
That is cool, but only in an area where the view is scenic. A cup of Joe with a rifle on the rail waiting for a deer to show up or a varmint sneaking up on your henhouse. Yeah, that would be awesome.
Very likely. I stayed in Aachen for a month during the summer of 1987 (damn that was 30+ years ago...) and the house I stayed in had a steep root and one of these in each of the upstairs rooms.
What’s so f&cking good about it?
ReplyDeleteI love it.

Velux is the only skylight I will install, best made.
DeleteNice but a pain in the butt waiting to happen.
ReplyDelete"Calling all burglars..."
DeleteAt a certain point a gable window is cheaper.
ReplyDeleteLets put a big fucking hole in the roof honey.
ReplyDeleteI would love that. But in Minnesota, the 9 month Winter weather would beat the shit out of that window.
ReplyDeleteGotta be Germany. Every house had them.

DeleteLike any skylight, it will begin to leak eventually.
