According to WPRI and WLNE, the incident occurred shortly after 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot of a Burlington Coat Factory store in Cranston. A passer-by heard screams and spotted the 14-month-old child unsupervised inside a parked, unlocked vehicle, Cranston police said.
I went into a BCF a few years ago and discovered the particular demographic that is most attracted to the place. Then I left.
ReplyDeleteYeah, pics confirm the usual suspects.
ReplyDeleteYears ago, I was looking for a red sport coat (British Army red) for wear at a particular event. I looked everywhere in men's stores all over the place. Nobody had anything even close. Apparently, you can get a sport coat in just about any color you choose as long as it's grey or Navy blue. Then a friend told me: "If you want to dress like SuperFly, you have to go where he shops - Burlington Coat Factory." So I did. And sure enough, not only did they have a coat in the correct color, they had it in my size!
ReplyDeleteOf course, even though the store was located in the suburbs, I was the only paleface in the joint. Nonetheless, I wrote that check with a smile. Whatever works.
Now if I could just find some forest green pants to go with it! ;-)
I remember the first time I walked into a BCF looking for a wool bomber jacket. I had asked a guy where he got his and he said BCF. It was a resonably nice store not much different than say a Kohls. Today that same store is a mess and only a last resort for shopping. In Wichita.
