AVON PARK, Fla. – Polk County authorities have two people in custody and were searching for a third person after a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officer was run over by an ATV during a Saturday night confrontation.
Back in the 40s, my mother in law lived in the middle of nowhere. A game warden would come to the area, cite the neighbor for poaching. The neighbor make a big deal of MIL's father also poaching. The game warden would say that was next on his list. The game warden would get to their gate, take his badge off, help dress out the deer, stay for dinner, and out his badge back on as he passed back out through the gate. He knew the neighbors were poaching for fun and profit and the other family was poaching to keep body and soul together.
I hope the ATV is ok
ReplyDeletePretty much every one I've met was a control freak and an asshole - but I repeat myself.
