When I was 8, my father handed me two short metal rods attached to two wires, said, "Hold this a minute," then started cranking the fishing "telephone." I was dancing all over the back yard and he was laughing his head off until my mother opened the back door and said, "Robert! You stop that."
Seems like a metaphor for a day at work.
