Victor Davis Hanson Commentary: If You Thought 2020 Was Hard, Wait Until You Get a Load of 2021

The proper conservative response to last Wednesday’s violent entry into the Capitol and vandalism, as well as assaults on law-enforcement, is to identify the guilty parties and ensure they are arrested. 

Such deterrence will prevent any future devolution from legal popular protests into thuggery. No constitutional republic can tolerate its iconic heart stormed, breached, and defiled.

    Hanson gets it wrong in the first paragraph. Trump should issue a blanket pardon for any and all crimes committed at the capitol on Jan 6, 2021. Trump called the crowds to DC on that day, he should do the honorable thing and extend his protection. It was a shame we did not see both Senators and Representatives tarred and feathered.

      Trump asked his Team to be there. Trump knows his people are not thugs. It was the commie thugs looking like the Trump Team who did all the harm. But who were some of the first to rush out and condemn the Trump Team? The RINO socialists and the commies (all one in mind). This will end badly for the commies. Maybe not because the "law" will punish them, no, WE will punish them. It make take some time, but they all will go down and pay for their betrayal to OUR Freedom

    God damn, our side sure is stupid. It "formed quickly" because the idea was already in place, at least in concept, if not in actual coordinated action.
