I'd be pissed

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WDAF) — A Missouri man whose car was smashed after a streetlight fell on it says he’s upset that the city has denied his claim.

  1. When I followed the link I got the following message:

Any chance you could message them and explain that the UK is not part of the European Union?

  2. Okay, it was
    Inspected
Two years ago. You don't know what
    Inspected
Means. Someone drive by, looking to see if poles are leaning? The city is responsible for maintenance, so they are responsible for inspection. That there has been no complaint doesn't mean anything. The guy needs to get hands on that pole. If it was so rusty it fell then two years ago it was damn rusty. It's a four year inspection cycle..
It's gone, and he's probably screwed.
On the upside, maybe he can dodge the economic pain.
You see, if he's a business owner, he could just lay someone off and keep the fifteen bucks an hour he would be spending on paying someone, until the car repairs are paid for.
    See how that works?

Sue, publicize and demand a jury trial.....

BTW.....civil jury trials are guaranteed by law in Missouri.

  4. I don't think a 1994 Honda convertible is worth $3,200.
