"A minor may be an authorized user only if the minor is at least twelve years of age and has successfully completed a firearm safety training course," the bill reads.
The bill, introduced by state Senator Antoinette Sedillo Lopez, would fine parents $1,000 for taking their "unauthorized" children shooting.

ReplyDelete"Let your gun therefore be your constant companion on your walks."
ReplyDeleteThomas Jefferson, the third President of the United States.
But then I doubt State Senator Antoinette Sedillo Lopez has ever heard of him, since she was a cloistered law professor for 27 years.
What garbage, I have taught my children and will teach my grandchildren to shoot when I damn well please to. Yes, our 2nd amendment says I can. Hybo
ReplyDeleteInch a day
ReplyDeleteNot only should they be taught HOW to shoot, but WHY they need to shoot, and WHO to shoot.....
ReplyDeleteMy Dad taught my brother and I how to shoot. Taught us all about firearm safety and hunting safety. I was out hunting, toting a BB gun at 6, and graduating to a shotgun at 10. We got constant reinforcement and correction (when needed). You can't get anything close to that kind of training from a one-time firearm safety training course. I wonder if Senator Lopez has ever held a gun, or taken a training course...
ReplyDeleteDemocrats just want to make sure that if the new Pedophile Of The Unites States comes for a visit little girls won't be able to defend themselves.
ReplyDeleteThat pedo and his son Hunter are dead.
DeleteRather clever. If they can't stop adult gun ownership, cut off future gun ownership.
ReplyDeleteI have a little list...
ReplyDeleteYes a little list.
They never will be missed...
Never will be missed.
Aimed directly at Wittington Center's youth programs, no doubt.
ReplyDeleteFinding a problem that doesn't exist, and fixing it with pure nonsense and government ham-handedness - it's the democrat way!

What happened to the blood of the pioneers who populated the West?
ReplyDeleteI taught my 9 year old daughter gun safety and handling, 10 years later she was guiding in Alaska, armed and protecting her clients. WTF is wrong with these gun-fearing wussies?
ReplyDeleteThese people are so freakin' clueless. They have no idea what a wonderful, wholesome thing learning to shoot from a parent is for a kid. I was shooting my dad's S&W 38 and P38 when I was six. He bought me my Marlin .22 rifle for my 12th birthday. It was the best gift I ever got. It got stolen by a critter 10 years later...
ReplyDeleteThey'll always be some of the most important memories of my father...
If you think they are clueless then I've got some ocean front property in AZ to sell you...They want you and yours dead or enslaved..
DeleteHow about a training course for politicians?
ReplyDelete$1000 a day fine if they don’t follow the Constitution by the letter and intent.

ReplyDeleteI was born in Cheyenne, WY with a gun in my hand, well almost, but been shooting since I was about 7 or 8, including a safety course.
Maybe it's time to have Mexico take back New Mexico. Deal?
ReplyDeleteThe question that begs to be asked and answered is . What do they plan to do to the people of NM that would necessitate this obvious desperate terror of the next generation knowing how to protect themselves, their property and families?
ReplyDeleteYou realize that Biden has only been president for a month and this is just beginning. The democrats will be ruthless going after all of their wish list items as they know they have possibly only 2 years of complete control. They don't care about the Constitution and they could care less if one half of the country disagrees with their laws. This next 2 years are going to hell and the US as we have known it might be gone forever. The very worst of the democrat party is completely in charge aided by media and Tech.
