  5. That is too bad. Not many 'entertainers' which have alternative views are on the radio. My bet is a lot of liberal minded will crowd to take over any conservative talk radio host continuing.

    1. There have been numerous commie/lib talk show hosts who have tried to compete with Rush over the past 30 some years and no one could hold a crowd.
Many of you probably don't know that Rush had a crowd of 30 million (or more) average listeners EVERY DAY.

  6. Sad to hear that. I remember his opening some of his shows with "with my formerly nicotine-stained fingers". Damned tobacco.

  7. While I didn't always agree with him, Rush made himself a force to be reckoned with and he will surely be missed.
I'm betting on Mark Stein or Dan Bongino as his replacement.

  8. I've been a daily listener for years. I feel like he is an old "BS" over the backyard fence" friend. R.I.P. dittos Rush.

  9. This month's issue of the Limbaugh Letter had a great photo of him, along with the words, "God is With Me". Also several good, personal articles. His brother, David, is a well-known religious author and was instrumental in re-igniting his brother's faith. FYI: I have most of the Limbaugh Letters going back to 1992.

  10. Lo, There do I see my Father
Lo, There do I see my Mother and
    My Brothers and my Sisters
Lo, There do I see the line of my people back to the beginning
Lo, They do call to me
They bid me take my place among them in the halls of Valhalla
Where thine enemies have been vanquished
Where the brave shall live Forever
Nor shall we mourn but rejoice for those that have died the glorious death.

  12. Saddened for the loss; content that he had his Faith; thankful that he was able to help the conservatives for 30+ years!

  13. I went back and forth with Rush, for a time. I used to think that he was too partisan, at one time. Then, I watched and listened to Sean Hannity, and suddenly Rush became a moderate.
Actually, Rush, while being a right wing conservative, was not the type of conservative that made me cringe the way that Hannity does. Rush actually had the truth and data to back up everything that he said.
As for replacing him, there will be those who attempt to do so. The one who finally gets his spot will be the one who understands in their heart that there is no replacing Rush. Rush was able to call out a leftist, for being uber partisan ,without being seen as an angry, mean person.
No doubt, the left will line up to show how much they loved and respected Rush. Even though when he received the Medal of Freedom, from former president Trump, they sat on their hands, with angry looks on their faces. Now that he is dead, it will be alright to show that they are really human. Of course, they will have to find someway to show that his death from lung cancer was related to Covid19, before the will pretend to have been big fans of his.

    1. You give them too much credit for being decent humans.
They are dancing on his grave as we speak, as they typically do when a conservative dies. One less Nazi as far as they figure in their warped minds.

    1. When my mother passed and for several years afterwards I went to town hall and made sure that she was removed from the voting rolls and stayed that way.

  15. I used to think he was a nut, until a slew of his predictions started coming true in the early 00's. A pioneer and a legend in his own time. RIP Rush.
