The beauty is, politicians DO NOT have to pay for gas as they run around as the TAXPAYERS are paying for it and usually an armed escort. Nothing affects them. Nothing.
Never been a big believer in the Texas mythology, but clearly steps were taken to manipulate this crisis to harm Texas nationalism and force Texas farther into the globalist fold. Could backfire on the usual suspects in a big way, as all of their plots ultimately do.
Near camp, there are a dozen windmills scattered over several ridges that stand idle 25 days out of 30 while despoiling the views. When I asked one of the locals what she thought about them spoiling the view while not producing any electricity, she replied "well it's better than staring at a nuke".
Many providers could not run to capacity due to clean air regulations - DOE declined Texas's request to temporarily exceed air quality standards.
Two nuke plants were down for scheduled maintenance and other more conventional power plants had temperature / fuel supply problems. It was a worst outcome event. Let the finger pointing begin.
