She has no business doing that job.

    1. It does indeed, hopefully they aren't in any rush to fire that round.

  4. Women and transgenders in army armor and mechanized infantry. We are SO screwed if we get in to a hot war. Which is the plan all along, of course.

    1. Not until you hear "Up", and that's presuming we've already heard "Target identified", but let's face it, don't we all just feel better about our selves now? Group hug everyone.

  6. I wonder how much her tits jiggle when that round is fired. Could be fun to see.

  7. Hell. A slow howitzer crew would have put three rounds into her before she was finished.

  8. Now they get to redesign the whole tank so even a girl can load the turret in the appropriate amount of time. It's only tax dollars people! Equity & ebonics for all!

    1. Remember back in the early Obama days when his DOD insisted on the Navy using $26 a gallon 'green' diesel?
After all, if the Department of Defense can't save the planet from climate change who can?

    2. Elmo, I worked on a Gov't contract, first day on the job, in orientation, we were told the US Govt will pay extra to implement their social policies. Translation, don't bitch about waste and ineffectiveness. (This was on a military base)

    3. Not surprising, Crawfisher.
About 25 years ago a trust fund baby started a company in Northern California with the intent of trying to corner the contract firefighting business with the Department of Forestry. He spent millions buying all the best equipment and hiring all the 'best' people to run his company, almost all of whom were retired CDF employees. Five years later he fired them all after he finally figured out they were better at spending money than they were at making it.

  11. Obviously the sexist military establishment needs to down-size the ammunition to be properly handled by our most delicate soldiers. Not only that, but the tank platform should be re-designed on a more stylish platform. Something like the Fiat 500 aughta do it...

    2. I saw that ring at the base. Shit I was M60s with the 105. We loaded up more ammo than the M1, thats all the guns, main, coaxe, gunners 240, and commanders 50 cal. Not including all our personal weapons.

Its a big ass BLUE TRAINING ROUND thats the first thing I saw. Only figured it was a female as the vid went on.

  16. YGTBSM! Fuhgeddabout an "E" for Effort, give her an "e" and a participation trophy. In the new Army though, chances are her lack of upper body strength will be solved by making her crew commander.

  17. When you're in the middle of a fight you need a loader that can do the job MUCH faster than that. Time to get rid of that one.

    1. Saw loaders who could make an M60 tank shoot like a full auto.

  18. Okay, so with that as a warm-up, everybody dismount, we're gonna break track and change out a couple blocks.. if we can.

  19. Many years ago, I attended an Independence Day celebration at the Iowa Capitol grounds. I sat in view of three howitzers to accompany Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture. Granted, the howitzer shells are smaller, but those National Guard troops loaded the guns like clockwork. Maybe my memory is bad, but I think each gun fired every 5 or 6 seconds.

  22. Israel...Merkava I think, def. a 120mm training round. Standard is supposed to be 9 seconds, leastways it was when I was in the Cav, and that's from the opening of the ammo rack door, grabbing the 'right' round (HEAT/Sabot/MPAT) picked up and and slammed tight in WITHOUT having your hand get caught in the breech and it looks like sweetie there didn't throw the arming lever, but then again it might be in a different location on that tank.

In Armor, Speed = Life and as someone said above, that crew is D-E-D.

I can't even imagine her doing that when the track is going 20-30 MPH over rough terrain...

  24. So the command goes like this;
Commander: Gunner, sabot, tank, this alerts the crew and starts things. As the commander is saying this he is using the commanders over ride turret control to slew the main gun onto the target, in this instance its a tank so the gunner can now look for the target. (Remember the gunner is inside the turret and his only way to see outside is using the sights. Ok SABOT command alerts the loader to load and index a sabot round, the loader then puts his back up to the turret wall out of the way of the main gun. TANK tells all in the crew they are engaging a tank.
    Ok stay with me here;
The loader is usually faster then the female here, and has loaded a sabot round, indexed it and his response on the intercom is UP, he is now out of the way of the gun. Meaning the main gun is now loaded with the round the commander wanted in this case a sabot.
The gunner, hopefully, has identified the target and then he uses the laser range finder to determine the distance to the target, the gunner communicates “lasing”.
The commander looks at his data read out at his tank commanders station to determine if the distance looks right, his command to the crew is, “verified”
At which point the gunner is now free to fire the main gun at the target. He has the turret and main gun control cadalics with the trigger in his hands, as he slowly squeezes the main gun trigger his command is “ON THE WAY” at the end of way the main gun should go off. Main gun is forced out of battery and slams back into the turret ending at the back of the turret wall, (there is about a fraction of an inch of clearance there, so if your finger is there it is now very flat and bleeding). As the main gun goes back into battery the empty case is stripped out of the gun and falls to the turret floor. The loader now picks up the empty case and tosses it out of the tank or stores it in an empty hole in the ammo storage.
This all takes an average tank crew about THREE SECONDS!!!!!!! THREE SECONDS and how long did our fine female loader take? Hope this helps you legs, Chairmen, squids, and leather necks. This is how the Army tank crews fight.

  26. Hate to say it, but until these units get destroyed, and soldiers get killed, or, We as a Country get defeated by outside forces, this isn't gonna stop. But, We are doing a great job of destroying ourselves from the inside, aren't we?

  27. Wokeism on display.
If you take strength, speed of accomplishment, and physical ability to perform the task at hand into consideration, you are a misogynistic white supremacist bigot and should be jailed.....because all that really matters is diversity, and the word I have come to hate with a white hot passion...."inclusivity".

  30. The comment that she will be promoted to Tank Commander to hide her deficiency in strength & endurance is spot on.

If anyone wants to see the reality of what modern day urban tank combat looks like, at least the downside of it all (if you are a tank crew): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rm2T68srg04
Many such examples out of Syria, Ukraine, Yemen...

No matter how you slice it, if you are slow or technically/tactically incompetent in modern combat, you are worm food. In the case of tank crews, roasted worm food. There are far more gruesome videos out there in case this does not make the point.

Combat is not some fantasy. It is harsh and unforgiving. All of the "stunning and brave" vanguard of whatever need to see and understand this before they push more for this... their lack of skill/strength/understanding/experience does not only get them hurt or rendered, it gets the whole crew done as hors de combat. Consider that puzzle from all angles, and it gets pretty uncomfortable as to motives.

Think of this in sheer dollar terms. A current M1A2 Abrams is about 9 million USD (wiki). It has a crew of (4). Each person has a base line value as well as a cost (you just don't go to the store and buy a new crew... it takes time- years, and a lot of money). Training cost, salaries, SGLI, administrative costs, etc.

So, when your platform is destroyed, the cost is actually a smaller fraction than what that EXTREMELY precious crew cost, if only in crass dollars. In this, they are placing those who cannot physically do the job or otherwise handle it. Draw your own conclusions as to the real reasons behind this. Cost < VALUE. By placing the sub-competent vanguard in such roles, they are making human sacrifices of the entire crew.

  34. I am convinced that's not an American tank. From the ammo to everything in the turret it's just not an M1/M1A1/M1A2. We load from the ammo compartment not the floor, it's a huge safety thing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sC2ePKRvo9k

Her life expectancy in combat is about 0.2 seconds, before she catches a 9mm from the TC to the back of the head, and gets reported as an IED casualty.

After the fourth or fifth one, they'll stop sending nonquals to the unit.

  37. I have been privileged to witness a Royal Artillery AS90 come up full speed, skid to a halt 20 yards in front of me and fire three 155mm rounds all landing on same target at same instant. Hand loaded, 3 rounds in air in under 10 seconds.
Makes you realise who you want on your side.
