  1. Or, you could just drive around until you found a bridge.

  2. My first thought when the video started was, this isn't going to end well. Pretty amazing that he did it. I wonder why he went backwards, I would have thought that going forwards would have made it easier to steer.

    1. Reverse is probably a lower gear ratio than first gear.

    2. Front wheel drive. If he didn't have the weight of the truck on the rails first, they would have slid right out.

    1. Judging by the segmented appearance of the near side bridge strut and the Chinese characters on the side of the vehicle it's Bamboo. That stuff is as strong and as hard as steel when it's dry. Pretty neat material for a giant grass.

    2. It must be stabilized at the ends to prevent rolling too.
Which does not mean I'd ever try that.

  5. So I suppose that placing two more logs alongside those skinny little poles would be out of the question? ...or too expensive?

  10. I assume he lowered the pressure in the tires before he tried it. Still, the wood could have shifted, an inch would do it. The two banks were not reinforced for this, something could have settled or dropped.
    Why did he do it?
