I have not seen this reported in any major news and didn't know how to send it to you.
WASHINGTON (AP) - President Joe Biden is nominating Gayle Manchin, wife of West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin, to be a co-chair of the Appalachian Regional Commission, an economic-development partnership involving the federal government and 13 states.
Gayle Manchin, 73, has held multiple government positions linked to education in a state where her husband is a political force.
A former teacher, she was on the West Virginia Board of Education from 2007 to 2015 and served a two-year term as its president. Manchin was also the state’s secretary of education and the arts in 2017 and 2018, but was removed from the post by West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice after releasing a statement critical of a bill to dismantle the department.
Her husband was the state’s governor from 2005 to 2010, when he won a special election to fill the U.S. Senate seat. Manchin is a critical part of the slim Democratic majority in the Senate, influencing what parts of Biden’s agenda can be passed. He has come out against a $15 minimum wage and ending the filibuster.
I've read that about 400 each year by glass tables breaking. Personally, my wife fell on a glass table and impaled herself with a small piece. She was lucky because there were many much larger pieces.
I'm guessing a Dog is the culprit in #1, and #8 is what happens when a toilet tank freezes and bursts. But if that happened, this dude has lots of other problems with burst pipes.
As they say, but wait, there's more. Buddy lived in a single wide, and the wee tyke got tinkering and turned off the baseboard heater in the bathroom, in depth of winter. This, above, ensued. Buddy drives semi, and is on road. Wifey cusses, turns heat back on, and goes to inlaws to use facilities. Does not/cannot turn off water. Heater does its job. Nobody home. I heard the trailer was a write off, as well as the marriage....

DeleteJust like McTurtle and his wife, except Manchin will toe the party line from now on; he's got his mind right.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Ms. Manchin has to show up for this job, like the one Moochelle had when Barry was a mere state Senator.
And to think Manchin was bought off with only $160K/year of taxpayer money; President Trump should have offered her the same deal...

ReplyDeleteSure blame Mr. innocent Dogface.
