Some countries have already announced dates by which they are going to ban all fossil fuel cars, Ireland comes to mind. And, God knows, that the idiots in this country would like to do the same.
First, can we eliminate any and all subsidies and tax holidays for the manufacture and purchase of these electric toys; you know, to see if they can fly without it?
Unless California reverses its policies discouraging both fossil-fuel and nuclear power plants, that's soon going to be the only way to drive an electric more than a few miles a week anywhere in CA. They're also requiring electric heat and cooking in new house construction, while doing nothing to increase their supply of electricity that doesn't rely on the sun and wind.
So, it's a hybrid.
