He's not very good at this, is he?

PITTSBURGH (CBS Pittsburgh) – A Westmoreland County man is facing multiple charges after police say he falsely reported his vehicle as stolen then set it on fire.

Earlier this month, state police say 54-year-old Donald Cassidy of West Newton reported his vehicle as stolen.

  1. Back in the early 80s I knew a guy who torched his Datsun 240Z for the insurance. He and his buddy took it to a remote spot and lit it up, problem was they didn't strip the custom wheels or the high end stereo system before they did..... The fire department, city fire marshal, the arson investigators and the State Fire Marshal got involved and all concluded that he was attempting insurance fraud so claim denied. He was dropped by his insurance company but then he didn't have a car anymore and no funds to get another one anyway. Dumbassery at it's finest.
