Evidently two “reports” from sources we are supposed to accept as unbiased, the Centers for Disease Control and Michael Bloomberg’s focus group-tested “Everytown” brand, are being used to promulgate a correlation = causation logical fallacy. They want Americans to believe “commonsense gun safety laws” deserve credit for Massachusetts having “the least amount of gun violence per capita [and] the lowest-in-the-nation per capita costs from gun violence.”
Lesson: If you want to keep the Massachusetts gun-murder rate low don't shoot your pregnant girlfriend, just drive her off a bridge in Chappaquiddick.
ReplyDeleteOr do what they did to Whitey Bulger-move him to a new prison and gouge his eyes out before the sun comes up the next day. Epstein got off easy.
DeleteSo, under the Biden administration the law should be called Markey’s Malarkey?

I've said it before and I'm saying it now, I will not comply.

Think about it..
ReplyDeleteUniversal Backgrounds don’t mean Squat without a Baseline OR there is A Sting.
As it stands, that baseline to a large degree as of Now, is scattered far and wide.
The Net will be flooded if ATF is caught during compliance checks doin what they shouldn’t be, at least for now.
Have You Noticed the New 4473’zz.
Convienent ain’t it? It’s all Right There.
Hmmmmm??
I see in this the same capitulation to local regs that I have noticed with (e.g.) California's HVOC paint spray rigs regs. "If I can't sell it in California, is it really worth the time and trouble?'
ReplyDeleteChickenshit, you say? Look at the paints aisle at most hardware stores. They won't bother to stock a product they can't sell in California. Fucking CAR COMPANIES are using California standards as default, Give me a couple day's notice, I'll send a heads-up to the few friends I have there, and we activate the San Andreas Option.
Fuck 'em. I am a Texan living in Florida.
ReplyDeleteWhere did the "two reports" get their statistics? I'm thinking they pulled them put of thin air. I can think of three states with lower overall crime rates, and particularly violent crime rates and gun violence rates: nearby Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. (DOJ stats.) All three are constitutional carry states. What they're selling is something better used to fertilize farm fields.
ReplyDeleteThey treat a woman shooting her rapist the same as a home invader shooting the homeowner. That church shooting in Texas last year? Where the good guy instructor saved the day and who knows how many other lives. Mass shooting. This is what every town told me. They count each incident as a gun violence act. So, when you show “gun violence” statistics for a constitutional carry state, where more criminal muggers, robbers, and car jackers get a dose of lead, it appears that gun violence is out of control and is the problem. Instead of addressing the criminal.
ReplyDeleteBuddha
Even that doesn't happen very often. In most cases no actual shooting takes place. The criminal miscreant usually finds two, three, or eleven firearms pointed in their general direction and realizes they're gonna die if they go stupid.(Does that count as a gun violence event, and if so, how many? One, two, three, or eleven?) Also, since most of the criminal miscreants know everyone else is carrying, they leave for a state with strict gun control laws because it's safer...for them.
DeleteMy copy says “shall not.” Is it the shall or the not these dumbfucks are walking all over? HUH?
ReplyDeleteMy copy says "...necessary to a free state..."
DeleteAnother word for 'necessary' is 'required'.
Us deplorables are required to possess and train with military weapons
I welcome rebuttals.
