DeleteOr they are green-screening to keep control of SloJo due to his declining mental state. It removes many of the spontaneous and random events that might take place in the 'real world'. That makes more sense to me than some of the other theories.

ReplyDeleteExactly. It was a green screen. The microphone was supposed to be much closer to the camera than SloJo, but his hand covered the image of the microphones. (His hand actually covered two separate mics.) Unless they were huge and behind him, there's no way his hand could cover them. While the lighting on him is pretty good, there's something off about it. (After looking at hundreds and hundreds of photoshopped pictures, I can usually pick out lighting inconsistencies.)

DeleteCouple of things stand out to me....Biden is only wearing a suit jacket and everyone else is pretty well bundled up and after he walks away from his "press conference", some of his close staff can be seen in the distance looking a bit perplexed as in "...ok what do we do now, follow to the "waiting" chopper, or ...".

Presumably his owner/operators fear letting him near even a highly complicit press core. Remember not too long ago, they pulled the plug on a video conference after Biden went off script & volunteered to take questions.
Also the guy in the back ground, his head flickered and phased out there for a second.

This is pretty hard for me to dismiss as an illusion but focal lengths can make a world of difference when it comes to how objects appear. A 200mm lens with a small angle of view will make objects appear flatter and add 20lbs+, while a 14mm lens will catch the whole world with a wide angle. If you have an object in the foreground of a less than ideal lens size, you may get some wonky effects. A 14mm lens will put more depth between objects and a 200MM lens well make them seem closer together... TMK.

Sound is the APU. It's running to keep the avionics powered up & the battery topped off. It's also way faster to start the engines off the APU than the battery. Run the Before Start checklist to the point of flipping the start switch then sit & wait for Sleepy to toddle on board. It'd be a real gaffe if they went to start the thing and the battery won't turn the engine starter. I'd be surprised if the rotor brake would hold the blades with engine power, even at idle. I know the brake on Bell 207's wouldn't.

He looks pasted into the scene, the edges of his suit are too sharp against the background. And if you compare both videos, the hand doesn't match. It's behind, away from the mics in one, on top on the others.

Damn, I'm really getting disgusted with our country's "leadership" and this is a perfect example of the gross mismanagement. All of the technology we have, all of the talent on tap, all of the fucking money they spend on everything else...and they cant even fake a press conference any more convincingly than this. FFS.
