Over a golf ball.....

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – A 74-year-old man was found dead after police say he drowned while searching for his golf ball at a country club in Florida, News 6 partner WPLG reported.

  1. While he's now a convicted felon, I remember what Bill Cosby said in a monologue about golf. Why would anyone play a sport in which you hit a ball and then have to go chase after it?. In baseball, Cosby said, there's at least someone who'll try and fetch the ball once you've hit it.

    Words which have stuck to ne to this day, and while many, many enjoy the game, I'll never be one of them

  4. Seventy-four and never learned to swim? Guess he should have done that instead of playing golf. Ya know snorkeling can tire you out. I was snorkeling a bit ago and saw an old women off by herself. Not a smart thing to do so I stayed out longer than I wanted to keeping an eye on her. Damn, I didn't think she would ever go to shore. When she did I did too. She walked up to me and said thanks but you didn't have to do that. A sharp ol gal. She said I know I should not be out there alone but I'm ready to go anytime. She was 94. Me just a young buck in my seventies.
