I've been watching my local Ace Hardware store as a barometer for ammunition supplies. For the last 6-7 months, the shelves have been bare.
Last week they got in a big shipment of handgun calibers, both FMJ and JHP. The JHP disappeared almost immediately, but they still have a fair amount of FMJ in everything from 25 ACP, to 44 Mag.
Rifle and shotgun ammo has been available in petty much everything but 5.56 and 7.62, which has been sporadic.
And that camouflage that works NO WHERE. What a waste for a uniform. And with all the lousy off brand Velcro it attacks itself when washed. Only for a while as the hook n loop failed very fast. And that looks like spent brass not ammo, just sayin.
Here in Montana it is spotty. Went to a VA appointment yesterday and 3 out of the 5 stores had a limited supply of Powder and no primers. One store had 4 pounds of 4 different powders and I bought two of those. One store out of three has 1 Lb. of reloder 7 and about 10 LBS of red dot and NO primers. Ammo is still tight, When I get back to looking in a few weeks I will be getting 7.62 and Probably 9mm. I have enough pistol ammo for two other handgun So 9mm is not an urgent need. So I am look more for reloading components right now and I am buying a house so money is as bit tight.
The focus is a little blurry, and I could be wrong, but that looks more like Air Force cammo than Army ACU. What would a guy in the Air Force be doing with ammunition? Just sayin'.
Never happen in my lifetime.
