The America I Grew Up In looks a lot different than the America we have today.

  1. George Carlin is turning in his grave with all the primo material going to waste in this politically correct day and age. "The 2000 words you can't say to a liberal!" Bwahahaha!

  2. It wasn't exactly a Norman Rockwell painting, but he's not wrong in general.
Example, and bear in mind I've got a vault of them. In my early teens my friend Chuck and I joined a pick up football game in a local park. Get home, Mom asks why my knee is cut open and bleeding and why is my friend holding his face?. Chuck and I fell going for the ball, my knee hit his mouth, knocking out his tooth and cutting my knee open.
Mom-"you boys must be hungry, go wash up" Italian.

    1. I can still see it in my minds eye on the school playground.

    2. Yeah, but don't forget that you could really get going if you used wax paper a couple of times.

  7. The big slide was made in sections and sometimes a section or two would become unriveted. As long as there wasn't a cutting side sticking up, no problem. See-saw, teeter-totter, I was the big kid, so there were always two normal boys on the other side. I eventually learned that somewhere in one of my up cycles, one or both of the boys would jump off.
