Yep. And the trail is basically one long trash heap, because it's too 'dangerous' to hump the trash out. Oh, and the trash includes upwards of 100 dead people. Still want to climb Everest?
nah...when i get the urge to climb a mountain, i ride the scenic tram to sandia peak (mt. just outside of Alb. NM.), and burn a fatty or two till that climbing urge has passed. then i step into the restaurant up there and enjoy a wonderful meal. then i ride the scenic tram back down. being a mountain man is fun.
The Earth is flat. That curve is the edge. Looks smooth only because the cats have almost finished knocking everything off on that side. Given enough time, the little bastards will knock Everest over the edge too. But it might take 'em a while, what with all the huge piles of garbage along the trail.

And the road networks of the US contain a shitload more trash and have resulted in far more fatalities. Still gonna drive?
DeleteThey paid their dollar and they took their chances. The people who climb it know the risks.
Is taking a stroll along that trail known as "Rimming"?

ReplyDeleteToo bad Albuquerque itself is so problematic. I rather like a lot of what's around there.
DeleteNot a view worth dying for.
ReplyDeleteCool! You can see the curvature of the earth!
