  2. "Homicide" just means that the death was caused by the intentional act of another person. It is a legally neutral word. The coroner could not have classified it any other way.

    1. ^^THIS^^
      Death caused by another.
Whether that’s justified, unjustified, self defense or cold blooded murder - doesn’t matter.
      They are ALL homicides.

  3. Diaz determined that Babbitt, 35, died as a result of a gunshot wound to her left anterior shoulder, and called the manner of her death a “homicide.”

Gee, thank you, Captain Obvious.....do you have any other stunningly obvious facts that you can condescend to enlighten us poor uneducated, retarded peasants with? Will we finally be allowed to know that water is wet?

  4. I don't there was any doubt, was there? Wouldn't almost any kind of gunshot-wound death qualify as a homicide, especially when caught on tape with dozens of witnesses, like this was? It doesn't mean that a murder / manslaughter charge automatically follows, though. Although I think it should, in this case...

  5. If the government feels that this was a righteous shooting, why are they keeping the name of the shooter so secret?

  6. "Homicide' is a legal term meaning "one human killing another." If someone breaks into your home and tries to kidnap your child and you justifiably shoot and kill them, their death would be listed as "Homicide."

The question we all want answered is whether this homicide was an accidental one, a justified one, or an unjustified one and if it was accidental/unjustified, will the shooter be held accountable? I think we here know the answer to both those questions.

  9. If a civilian shot her, given the exact circumstances, they would go to prison, most likely for life. One wonders if this will be looked at in the future as another "shot heard round the world", that ultimately ignites an American civil war. Because given the speech in the Rose Garden today by crazy Uncle Joe, dealing with attempting to take away our 2nd amendment rights, it very well could erupt into a shooting war, something no one should desire.
