Ken, This is particularly timely, especially given the recent loss of the Indonesian sub and all 53 souls on board .. the boat was found in three major sections at a depth of more than 800 meters https://news.yahoo.com/indonesian-navy-submarine-found-split-130643179.html
From the reports I've read the crew was aware they were sinking but mercifully when the sub reached crush depth the actual implosion would have been imperceptible to the crew. Rest your oars sailors, we have the watch.

The crew incinerated instantly.
DeletePassing below the design-depth of the structure, water pressure super-heated the interior to hundreds, possibly thousands, of degrees.

ReplyDeleteThat looked like a free dive. I saw other free divers in the video.
ReplyDeleteThat was an impressive dive.
Saw a video one time of a crab that got too close to an under sea pipe that had a tiny hole...got sucked right in like nothing.
ReplyDeleteI saw that video; it was some years back.
DeleteYour lungs do the same thing
ReplyDeleteThats why you hum during an emergency rise or blow your lungs out.
DeleteThat was likely one atmosphere or 33 feet too.
