It's that time of the year again

Yup, it's time for the annual 'Show Your Appreciation For Knuckledraggin' fundraiser again.

This blog always has been and will be a work in progress. I've been doing this for 15 years now and I don't think the day will ever come that I settle on one pattern of posting to stick with, although I do like the format of it now.
I really, really try to stay away from the really serious shit and big headlines - I figure if it's that big a headline or that serious, you've already read about it elsewhere and I'm wasting my time and yours.
And to be honest with you, I get tired of all the depressing crap that news stations seem to thrive on, so I spend a lot of time looking for offbeat news, something to make us laugh or scratch our heads going 'what the.....' Thank God for Florida Man. He never seems to disappoint in that department.
My Good Morning posts are a lot more popular than I thought they would be, and for that, I'm glad - it shows that we all have a little tenderness left in our hearts, no matter how tough we think we are. They're actually my favorite posts to do.
The gifdumps at 10 in the morning..... I resisted that for years because I just didn't think it would be that popular a post. Man, was I wrong on that. Judging by the comments, y'all love 'em.
By far the most popular posts are "The shit I post on Facebook" memes that I run every day at 2 PM. Holy shit, those things took off. What's amazing about it is it wasn't intended to be a regular feature - I had a handful of memes I had posted on FB that I was going to send to friends who don't have social media and I was running short of shit to post that day so I threw them in there as nothing but filler. And the comments blew up..... y'all loved them and I've posted them every day since.
That sucks for me though - I get my memes from a private FB group I belong to, I post them on my page, then move them over to a folder to post on my site. I'd really like to dump FB, but then I'd have to dump that daily post for lack of material. The sacrifices I make for you.....
And then there's the videos. There's no rhyme or reason to the videos I post at 7 AM and noon. They're just videos that I run across during the week. I figure if they get a reaction out of me, they'll get one from you. For my end-of-the-day videos, I'll post some history or gun videos most of the time but every one in a while I'll squeeze something else. I don't know about you but I really enjoy the history videos and especially the animated battle maps - I've learned more from them in the short time I've been posting them than I did in 12 years of school.

The one thing I really hate to post is politics and racial shit, but damn, almost everything is political or racial anymore. If it's not, the politicians and Social Justice Warriors will make it so.
The only good thing posting about politics is it keeps the liberal riff-raff away, so there's that, I guess.

You can get an idea of the time and effort I put into this site, spending several hours a day looking for material and then posting it. Hell, I spend a couple hours first thing in the morning scheduling the next day's posts, then at least another hour or two looking for more material to file back. Then there's comment moderating throughout the day, and looking for even more stuff to post - that's a never ending job right there. So we're talking about 6 hours a day here?
I don't really get a day off. I don't post on Saturdays, but I do take an hour or two scheduling the Sunday videos and going through the news for shit to post that following week, then I'm logging in periodically throughout the day to moderate the comments of readers who are reading Friday's posts.

Anyways, if you have a few bucks to spare and would like to show your appreciation for my time and effort, there's a paypal 'Donate' button in my right sidebar to donate using a debit card or your own paypal account. If you prefer to not use paypal, my mailing address is right below the button.
Please, and I cannot stress this enough, please do not cut yourself short. If you don't have it, don't trip, The site's for everybody's enjoyment.

Thanks to each and every one of you for making this site what it is. You're the driving force behind it.
