Lawsuit Notice Filed in Fatal Shooting of New Mexico Officer
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — The wife of a New Mexico State Police officer fatally shot in the line of duty in February has filed a tort claim notice with the state seeking damages, one of the first steps in filing a wrongful death lawsuit.
Gabriella Jarrott alleged that her husband, Darian Jarrott, was told to conduct a dangerous traffic stop without backup and was not informed of the details of the investigation, leading to his death.
I saw the initial video and was shocked. It was edited enough you couldn't tell the guys who arrived were ferals. Err federals. Now ask yourself a question, what did this guy know, not connected with this stop. Was there a reason he was set up? This has been done to many other officers.
Here's the lawyer being interviewed by Alison Morrow. About 20 minutes. Worth the watch as he provides lots of detail. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=94afIBzOb5I
Nice guy, caring, a little naive. Didn't get the chance to harden his heart. I think he got the Serpico treatment. I'm not a pundit, I just play one on intardweb.
If the facts....as reported....are true then the Feds involved fucked up big time. However the chances of successfully prevailing in court in such a lawsuit against Federal badgemonkeys is somewhere between slim and none.
The shooter was NOT a retired carpenter or plumber, or a guy that put in 20 for a gold watch, then thought he'd go cruising one day. That piece of low-life has done that before, gotten away with it, and thought he'd do it again, because it was the easiest thing to do. Do you hear? This gob of grease was a cartel guy. He wasn't a hunter, fisherman, trapper--he was a hunter of men's souls, and he needs killing. Watch it again--painful as it is--and you can't conclude otherwise...
